// TOLL QUERIES

Standard toll booth: 520 DKK. Online ticket: 465 DKK. ØresundGO discount agreement: 182 DKK per trip (annual fee 370 DKK). Prices valid from May 2026.

DKK, SEK, and EUR are accepted at toll booths. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted. The official price is in DKK.

ØresundGO is an annual discount agreement with a fee of 370 DKK. It provides 60% off the standard toll price on every crossing. For a passenger car, this reduces the per-trip cost from 520 DKK to 182 DKK. The agreement pays for itself after just one return journey.

// DRIVING QUERIES

The bridge crossing takes approximately 10–15 minutes at 90 km/h. Including the toll plaza, allow 20–30 minutes for the full crossing.

90 km/h on the bridge section. Standard motorway rules apply on approach roads and in the tunnel.

In rare cases of extreme wind, the bridge may close to high-sided vehicles or all traffic. The bridge is designed to withstand winds of 61 m/s. Closures are uncommon and announced via the Øresundsbron app.

Copenhagen Central Station to Malmö Central Station: approximately 35 minutes. The train also stops at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup), ~13 minutes from Copenhagen Central.

Every 20 minutes during the day. Hourly late at night. 24/7 service. Operated by DSB (Denmark) and Öresundståg (Sweden).

// BORDER QUERIES

Both countries are Schengen Area members. Passport checks are not normally required, but temporary border controls have been introduced at times. Always carry valid ID or a passport.

The Øresund Bridge officially opened on 1 July 2000, inaugurated jointly by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. Construction began in 1995.
